Puppies and Children
Interactions between your puppy and your children should always be supervised and they should never be left alone together. Miscommunication between dogs and children is commonplace and accidents can easily happen. it is therefore essential that you educate your children about appropriate interaction with puppies.
 | Make it a rule that the children should not pick puppy up. This will prevent accidents from happening. |
| Make it a rule that the children do not disturb puppy when he is eating or sleeping. |
It is important for the puppy to have plenty of opportunity to rest and sleep. A puppy's bed should be a place of sanctuary. If a puppy goes to bed, he should be left alone, not followed. He will come to you when he wants to play again. If the puppy is constantly disturbed, he may become anxious and could show signs of irritability.
